Dear Harrington School Families,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Superintendent of Harrington School District. My name is Courtney Strozyk, and I am honored to step into this role. Beginning July 1st, I will also step into the role of Principal. I’m excited for this endeavor and opportunity to serve our amazing community!
As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, I am eager to partner with you in continuing to provide a strong, supportive, and innovative educational experience for our students. We have several exciting changes on the horizon that I am thrilled to share. With change sometimes brings unrest, but I assure you I’m working hard behind the scenes this summer to ensure a smooth transition, and an amazing 2025-2026 school year.
This year, we will pilot a four-day school week, with most Fridays designated as non-school days for students. These Fridays will serve as valuable collaboration time for our staff to work together on curriculum development, instructional practices, and strategies that enhance student learning and engagement. We are also going to move to a middle school model, with grades 6-8 working together and learning together in a blocked schedule. More information on this soon!
We are welcoming new staff members in secondary science, math, and special education: educators who will bring great energy and expertise to our district. These additions will strengthen our academic programs and support services for all learners. If you have interest in being on the interview committees for these positions, please contact me.
