Be aware that many colleges offer scholarships based on factors such as: financial need, area of study, academics, student involvement and more. BUILDING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON (BIAW):
Offers more than $20,000 in scholarships and grants for Washington state students or programs supporting construction industry-related fields. 2019 Student Scholarship applications or School/Organization Grant applications can be found online at www.BIAW.com or ­can be requested at education@biaw.com.

DEADLINE: Scholarship or Grant applications must be postmarked by May 15, 2020


FFA STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS:
Numerous scholarships to deserving FFA members nationwide. Eligibility and award amounts vary by scholarship. One application, 1800 scholarships. Visit www.ffa.org/scholarships for more information and application. Opens November 15, 2019.

EPSILON SIGMA ALPHA FOUNDATION: 
Scholarships ranging from $500-$3000 for Washington State students. Minimum 3.0 GPA for most. See specific criteria for each scholarship. WASHINGTON STATE FAIR FOUNDATION BLUE RIBBON SCHOLARSHIP:
The application will open on November 19, 2019, and close on January 31, 2020. Application: https://thefairfoundation.awardspring.com/ Since 2008 the Washington State Fair Foundation has awarded over 1 million in scholarships to students throughout the state. This past spring 41 scholarship awards valued at $101,000 were provided to high school seniors and adult learners in Washington. The Washington State Fair Foundation financially supports the scholarship and educational programs of the Fair, and preserves and improves the Fair for future generations.

WSECU SCHOLARSHIP: 
$2500 for four-year colleges or graduate school. $1500 scholarships for two-year colleges or vocational school. Must be a Washington School Employee Credit Union member to apply...if you aren't, you can learn more by visiting the website www.wsecu.org

Washington State Opportunity Scholarships: 
WSOS prepares Washington students to meet the state's workforce shortages by offering two scholarship programs for students pursuing a credential leading to a high-demand career in the state. Both scholarship funds are flexible and can be used to cover tuition, fees, and other costs of attendance such as housing, transportation, food, and more

  • Baccalaureate Scholarship (BaS): Provides up to $22,500 for scholars pursuing a bachelor's degree in more than 150 high-demand STEM or healthcare majors. Starts at $1000 and both renews and increases as you progress in your education.
  • Career and Technical Scholarship (CTS): Provides $1,500 per quarter for scholars pursuing a certificate, apprenticeship, or associate degree in a high-demand trade, STEM, or healthcare field such as welding, manufacturing, or information technology.

INNOVIA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Lucille I. Hudon Scholarship: Applicants must be entering their first year of post-secondary education, have maintained a 3.0 GPA (or its equivalent) in the last two years of secondary education, and have resided for two years in one of the following counties: Spokane, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens or Whitman counties in Washington, or Kootenai, Shoshone, Bonner or Boundary counties in Idaho. Please note applicants will use the external application through Scholarship America and mail references to Innovia.

  • Wilson Farm/Mondovi Grange Scholarship: Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates of Lincoln County, Washington schools, or from that part of Spokane County in the Reardan-Edwall School District, or a direct descendant of someone previously employed by Dale D. Wilson regardless of their current residence location. Preference will be given to descendants of Dale D. Wilson's employees and to those in the Mondovi Grange area (Reardan-Edwall and Davenport school districts). Recipients may reapply in subsequent years.

  • Mark and Kay Burkett Scholarship: Applicants must be American citizens demonstrating financial need and academic achievement. Preference shall be given to students with community service experience. Students must reside in or have attended high school within the geographic region served by Innovia Foundation. Previous recipients are eligible to re-apply.

WASHINGTON STATE SCHOOL RETIREES' ASSOCIATION: 
Several scholarships for students interested in education careers: teacher, counselor, speech therapist, occupational therapist or psychologist. Visit: www.wssra.org. Click on the "forms and files" and choose "Scholarship application."

NW FARM CREDIT SERVICES:
Northwest FCS is committed to higher education and helping customers' and employees' children achieve their educational goals. Scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors, current college students and those pursuing graduate degrees. All Scholarships are $2000 each. Go to: Northwest FCS Website

CCS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: 
One application for numerous scholarships for students enrolled or planning on enrolling at Community Colleges of Spokane (SCC, SFCC) for the upcoming academic year and have a 2.0 GPA or higher. Additional documents are required along with the online application which you can find at http://www.ccs.spokane.edu/Foundation/Scholarships.aspx

Please note you will be creating an online account and may need to provide some documents electronically. It may take some time to collect the necessary application materials - procrastination is the enemy!

THE MCGREGOR COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP:
This program has been developed specifically for high school seniors, graduating in 2020, within eastern Washington, north central Idaho and northeastern Oregon, who will be entering college in an agricultural field of study. The company offers up to three individual $1,000 scholarships upon the completion of enrollment in either academic or vocational college. Scholarship applications and essays will be reviewed by a group of individuals representing our agricultural industry, academics, and FFA programs. JUDGE W. M. NEVINS SSCHOLARSHIP

MARSDEN SCHOLARSHIP

PACIFIC NORTHWEST GRAIN AND FEED ASSOCIATION:

INLAND NORTHWEST CAR CLUB: 
$1500 for students enrolling in an accredited college, university, trade school or other post-high school facility approved by the Scholarship Board. HIGHLINE GRAIN GROWERS SCHOLARSHIP: 
Two $500 scholarships to qualifying seniors who are enrolling in a 2- or 4- year accredited college, university or trade school. In recognition of the importance of the family farm, this award is intended for applicants who are either working for or have family members working with our regional industry. MARTHA HALL EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP:

For worthy students who reside in Lincoln County and have graduated and received a diploma from a high school in Lincoln County, and have been accepted at a college, technical school, or other school of higher learning. INLAND POWER AND LIGHT EXCELLENCE AWARD:
Awarding 15 $1000 scholarships, exclusively to Inland Power members and their children. Recipients may reapply the following year, with at least five of the 15 scholarships awarded reserved for new applicants. Visit Inland Power Website for more information and an application.

AGLINK INCORPORATED SCHOLARSHIP:
Ten $750 scholarships to qualifying seniors from area districts; see complete listing on scholarship application. Each applicant or his/her immediate family must be an AgLink patron (included purchasing food or fuel from Traders Express in Davenport, items from Reardan Hardware, or products from Ag Link, Inc.). LINCOLN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Two memorial scholarships, both from the Donald Lee Spinning Estate, $500 each. Primarily for students interested in agriculture, home economics, agriculture business, agriculture education or closely related fields. One will be awarded to DHS students only, and one will be awarded to any student from throughout Lincoln County.
